I was driving down to visit my daughter in Wilmette from northeastern Wisconsin. When I got to North Chicago my car was making the worst noise and I was unable to continue. AAA got me a tow and they took me to Sunset. It was the closest garage and, as it turned out, I was really lucky. Chris and his crew couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Since my tire had almost come off while I was driving, I was pretty stressed out, but they showed me what was wrong, gave me an estimate of how much it was going to be and treated me very well. I got to stay a few extra days with my family and my car was fixed. An experience that could have been awful was made so easy because the people at Sunset were so pleasant and easy to deal with. Thank you guys. If I was closer, you would be my car guys.

The price was great and they were very helpful. They changed my oil but also let me know how my tires and battery were doing. The administrative assistant was very nice! I loved them and will be back!

For generations, my family's vehicles always went to the same repair shop in my hometown because they were trustworthy, friendly, and provided the best service around. Since moving to the area four years ago I have not had great experiences with repair shops and could not find a place with the same service that I could trust which forced me to wait until visiting back home to get necessary repairs. After taking my car to Sunset Auto this past week I have finally found a place that I can truly trust and that I will bring my car to for years to come. I could not recommend this shop more for everything from oil changes to major repairs.

This was our second tie using Sunset and they exceeded all expectations again. I got myself in a bit of a jam trying do a father/son brake job project on my son's 2012 Passat and Sunset saved me without making me feel like an idiot and the didn't take advantage of me because I was in a bind. I called in the morning and the wrecker showed up a couple of hours later to get the car; the driver was very professional and polite - couldn't have been nicer. Maricela and Chris were awesome and finished the job promptly and at a very fair price. My son and I thought the peddle was very soft the next day so I told him to bring it back and ask for Chris' opinion. Chris drove the car and immediately brought it in the shop, bled system again and it works like a charm. Chris called the next morning to check in and also provide some advice about the ceramic brake pads my son purchased. A really outstanding experience overall and I will continue to use them for all any out of warranty work on our cars.

My first visit. I had a flat tire ant Sunset was the closest shop to my location. They were very professional, courteous and fast. I will definitely use them in the future for auto service.

Great car service with great customer care. I had an alternator, suspension work, and brakes done on my Mazda. Sunset kept me informed and got the job done in a timely manner. Lastly, it was awesome that my car didn't smell like a shop when I got it back and didn't have grease or oil on the steering wheel or anywhere else it wasn't supposed to be.
